Mountain barn

with a quilt pattern on it.   All along the rural back roads around Linville and Boone, North Carolina, the barns have different quilt patterns painted on a large piece of wood nailed to the barn.   Makes for some great sightseeing as we are driving along.   I only took one photo this time even though I saw several different patterns.

In South Carolina, at Landrum, there are quilt patterns painted on buildings in the town itself.   Here and in some other areas, there are maps available to following the road to find all the quilt patterns.
