pink meadowsweet??

Thought I had a backbone of steel, but sadly guess its actually putty! Like a smoker giving up,
I keep thinking just 1 last blip! Saw the first butterfly (why arent they called flutterby??) hovering around this meadowsweet in my garden ;so mobilised the camera and waited patiently until the butterfly aproached again . At the critical moment the camera shut down telling me to change the batteries!! I m afraid I had a tantrum! Changed the batteries and took the photo sans butterfly anyway.
Can anybody explain why thecreamy white meadowsweet that I took from the hedgerow last year is now this pink in my garden.
