Skylanders hat.

My son is obsessed with a game called Skylanders.

With it you get a 'portal' that you connect to your games console and when you put one of the Skylanders figures on it they appear in the game.

in the game you wander around defeating bad guys, collecting treasure and sometimes you happen upon a hat. When your character wears the hat they get extra attack powers or some other upgrade.

The character on screen wears the hat, William decided that he would make the same hats so he could put them on the figures so that they would look the same.

This is one of the hats, I think he has got bored with making them,but every now and again a new hat appears that he has collected in the game.
