Between fen and mountains

Work on the lock gates

I did not see the crane actually lifting anything into position but can only assume that a crane that large would only have been brought down to the river to lift the gates.  I walked along the banks and enjoyed the sunshine.  I then went to the supermarket in search of old fashioned cleaning products like white vinegar and large packets of baking soda but everything seems to come in expensive squirty bottles these days.  Bring back the ironmongers I say!  My heart sank on my return when I turned on the news from Westminster.  The charades taking place couldn't get much worse.
