At Machrie Moor Stone Circle

Family trip to Arran. Lucky with the weather- it only rained when we were at lunch. This shot is of Ross (nephew), his wife Sara and my brother-in-law Martin. A great time was had by all.

The only other time I visited I got the bus along the String road, then walked a side-road and cut across the moor. It was hot and hard going with brambles, rocks, bracken and hidden hazards. I came to the Machrie river. Grasshoppers chirped and chimney sweeper moths fluttered around. On the river, purple flower petals drifted slowly downstream. It was ...idyllic.
