The butterfly flapped its wings
On Bookham Common today. I've never worked out why this is called a Silver Washed Fritillary.
It's hard to match the brutality of the Tory party when the knives are out as they were today. Michael Gove is an honourable man, as Marc Antony would have it. They're all honourable men.
At least Boris Johnson can console himself that he's not plotting in the court of Henry VIII, or he'd be in the Tower by now, dangling from the ceiling by his thumbs. If Johnson is "a nasty piece of work" as Eddie Mair said of him in an interview, what does that make Gove?
If he gets mashed by Theresa May, I don't think I'll be shedding any tears.
