The Set-Up Iteration

This blip name sounds like the title of a ‘Big Bang Theory’ – episode, but hey, I am doing science here so it’s OK. For Tiny Tuesday today another attempt to set the system up in a way that it’s actually visible and I can access the animals.  This is a set-up my colleague J and I came up with, in which an oak sapling is cast in ant gel. The ants and aphids live in the gel, along the root. Whether it’s going to work remains to be seen, but it certainly looks cool!
