B is for bright

This calendula stood out amongst the brown oak leaves and the two bits of wood. All alone under the huge tree it has already reproduced once with a dried up stalk and seed head beside it.

B could also be for beautiful day. A high sitting over us has produced a frost with a sunny day. A cold southwest breeze too but find a sheltered spot in the sun and the day just disappears.

I did look up wikipedia to see the difference between calendulas and marigolds. Bit confusing as the calendula belongs to the daisy family called Asteracae and can be called marigolds. Marigolds belong to the tagetes family. So I am sticking with calendula.
