Battle of the Somme - 100 years on.

Popped back briefly with these images taken today which wouldn't really have worked as a backblip or a catch-up. 

In memory of -

Private John McGivern 2nd Battalion Gordon Highlanders  -  Died at the Somme on 1st July 1916,  Aged 31 years.

Private John William Lake 13th Battalion York and Lancaster Regiment - Died at the Somme on 1st July 1916,  Aged 23 years.

And the other million who died or were wounded.
