Tomlike Mountain

I'm ashamed to admit I have never driven around the back of all the trails in the Gorge to get at the top of those hills from Hood River. Today we did it. This was a hike from Wahtum Lake, reachable on all paved roads. Since we were high already, there was no major elevation to do. It was beautiful with hardly any people. Tomlike Mountain is an unofficial trail for part of the way, but not hard to follow. The view was spectacular--Adams, Ranier, St Helens, and of course Mt Hood. More pictureshere
