Garden

I spent the afternoon in the Caledonian Hall at the Botanic Gardens, where the life of my former colleague and friend Maria Lee was being celebrated by her family and friends. Although Maria had lived in Scotland for about fifty years, she was born and raised in Italy (two of the speakers were friends from her school days). So her son got a definite ripple of approval when he started his speech "Fellow Europeans....!"

It was good to meet up with a number of former OU colleagues; we sat and talked about Maria over wine and cake and gazed at the Rock Garden which was looking very good.
