One hundred years on

Today it just had to be a blip of a poppy to remember those who died this day one hundred years ago and all the days and weeks which followed during the Battle of the Somme.  Some really moving pictures from the memorial services which took place yesterday evening and today.  

Tomorrow we head on holiday to the north west coast of Scotland.  The cottage although beautifully furnished has no wifi so it is unlikely that I will be able to post blips or comment.  Apologies in advance.  Look forward to catching up on our return.
