Ring-necked Pheasant

As I walked on the path in the prairie a ring-necked pheasant flushed from tall grass 4-5 meters away. Usually I only hear pheasants and don't see them at all. This photo is a first for me, but hopefully there will be other better pheasant photos as this is a beautiful bird.
