Left to her own devices

She's a funny little stick. Sometimes she's noisy and funny, and sometimes she just likes her own space. If I tell her that I'm going to do some chores, she'll happily join in but left to her own devices - quite literally - she likes to sit and watch programmes on YouTube. 

(It's on odd phenomenon but when I helped out with some mock interviews recently, one pupil included 'YouTube' as hobby/interest and it's not the first time I've seen that.)
