Alentejanos

I couldn't quite decide if they were men or women, but this brass and wood sculpture represents the field workers of the Alentejo -the area of Portugal we are in now. This was in the hotel we stayed in called Dom Jorge de Lancaster- evidence of a distant link with England.
We enjoyed a delicious dinner of regional dishes in the evening in Grândola
