Marrowfat Peas

Frenchie returned from Shanghai :)
We ate a (very) late continental lunch, washed down with a glass (or two) of vino! :)
I then got to thinking about what we Brits would be eating if we hadn't joined the EU all those years ago?
When I was a kid we often had packet soup (chicken noodle or oxtail), marrowfat peas, or some obnoxious tinned meat of dubious origin!
Also, if we hadn't joined the EU I would never have met Frenchie and had our wonderful little Oddie; my neighbour would not have married her German husband, and Oddie's half Italian boyfriend would also not exist. 
Makes you stop and think... in between a swig of wine! :)
