Oh Pekan Bangar.

Dusk comes surprisingly earlier here in this little town named Bangar, situated on the outskirts of Temburong district. And by night, stars dot the skies leaving one to live the starry night dream.

Albeit its small geographical landscape, basic amenities are within driving distance from base camp.

Mini eateries, grocery stores, telco and even the barbers- these are some shops housed at close proximity surrounded by a few Mosques. Did I mention a jetty, driving centre, sports complex and even a hospital?

Despite their rudimentary foundations, imagine 1960s to 70s Singapore, I would say that it's pretty decent for a developing state.

But what is more surprising, or rather captivating, is the skyline that insiduously unveils itself-it doesn't fail to present that sense of tranquility, that serenity and that state of Zen whenever I stroll along its roads.

And not too a distant, residing villagers stream in for dinner.

Oh Pekan Bangar indeed.
