Captain Iglo

Both original 'Captain Iglo's' - the British John Hewer 1967 - 1998 and the German Gerd Deutschmann who passed away on december 21st 2011 - haven't been replaced as mascot for the international fish brand Iglo (or Captain Birds Eye worldwide) since,

That is....  Until now.

May I introduce the new Captain Iglo - the 38 year old Florian Dirkse from Delft - who I met on his very first public debut performance in the fishers harbor of Scheveningen. As you can see he's a really kind guy who not only loves to eat fish himself, he has been active as an ambassador for sustainable caught fish way before being selected from 300 candidates for this new career change.
