Feeding Frenzy.

These are just some of the swans that have made the riverside near the Kingston Bridge their home.
While I was there this morning a lady arrived with five loaves of sliced bread - she fed all of it to the swans, geese and gulls. We chatted for a bit, I tentatively, and tactfully mentioned that bread is not really an deal diet for swans and ducks. She promised me she would bring a bag of bird seed from Poundland next time! I am sure that these birds are well used to this diet. 
Do you remember this swan and her eggs? She hatched three cygnets. Sadly only one survived the dreadful storm we had one evening last week.
