Sempervivum

I took mum to the bank in SunderlAnd today - probably 30 years since I've been in the town centre and I couldn't believe how it has changed. After lunch I took both mum and dad for a coffee at a local plant nursery just so dad had been out of the house. very good it was too. Did a bit of gardening when we got back and I took a photo of these lovely sempervivum in one of mum's pots.
Also done a bit of research on Mr H's grandfather and found that he had served in the Royal Navy in the Great War as well as the army , and now know he served on the Royal Sovereign in 1916. Fascinating as we knew very little about him.
