Idyllic

We're having a holiday in the back of beyond in the Yorkshire Dales. No phone reception, but 12mb broadband, so no problems with that! We have a landline phone that takes incoming calls so we had to Facebook message a friend, get him to phone my Dad, and give him the phone number so he could ring us! We always let him know that we've arrived safely.

It's freezing up here - technically 12 degrees, but feeling more like 8 with the blasting wind. July - huh! Thankfully the central heating was on ready for us. We're staying in a barn conversion cottage near Askrigg in Wensleydale. For the first time in years we had a trouble-free journey with no accidents blocking the roads! We had some very heavy rain once we got in this area, but managed to unpack the car mostly in the dry.
