bouquet of a day

Today was very busy with house related stuff that's not sufficiently interesting to relate, except to say that it included a trip to B&Q garden centre where I bought these beautiful dahlias for the garden. 

Bro is here with me again this evening and we watched Euro '16 - Germany v Italy.  I am not a football fan, much prefer rugby, but even so, felt sorry for both teams when the result is determined by penalty shoot out. 

Very sad to see that in 2016 we have lost yet another great British entertainer today to the dreaded C - funny lady Caroline Aherne, better known as Mrs Merton and the weather forecaster in the Fast Show where it was always "scorchio".  She was only 52.
