simplistic flower...

sometimes you just have to get back - to the basics - with all the storms we've been having over the past couple of days - leading to me looking out at gray overcast skies - it made me think about doing a flower - in simple tones for a change - using black & white, which isn't a medium i tend - towards at all to be honest - i believe there's a real technique to it - you can't just say 'oh here's b&w today' and be done with it - there is just as much skill as with color - at least that's my opinion, even though no one asked

for that reason, i usually shy away from it - for the simple fact i don't feel i have the confidence - i use the medium very well - yet all that being said, this little flower didn't turn out - half bad after all - i must've stared at it forever and a day before - finally deciding it was going to be - okay to post, there was nothing glaringly wrong with it - and when all was said and done, it would lead to...
