I fought the couch.....

..... and the couch won.

Spent the afternoon weeding, and it felt really good, despite the endless couch battles that take place in the back garden.  The soil is nice and soft and it makes weeding easy.  The winter grass is growing like there's no tomorrow and it all has to come out before it sets seeds.

Our camellia season lasts from about now, right through to early Spring.  Although they can get spoilt by the rain, a couple of my shrubs are very sheltered, and the flowers are lovely. It makes it a pleasure to stretch an aching back when one of these delights comes into view.
