Garden

We had our monthly check-in / gathering / general catch-up and chat with some of the people from the Artist's Way group round at P's place. We met in her garden studio and had a good chat the four of us. We also committed to doing something for next time to help create a sense of accountability that might assist those of us who have trouble making things happen. For me I said I would write four 1000-word pieces for my Paris book to share with people.
In the evening we watched the Germany-Italy Euro 2016 quarter-final on TV - the Germans won through in the end, their first victory over Italy in the knock-out stages of a major tournament, although it took a protracted penalty shoot-out with three, yes three, German misses, before they won. Having scored 26 out of 28 in six previous penalty shoot-outs, and every one of the last twenty kicks they'd taken, they missed two of the first three. So German join Portugal and Wales in the semi-finals. Only France-Iceland remains to decide the last four.
