the colour purple

D has been using potassium permanganate to try to get rid of the Marchantia which is spreading across our driveway. It comes as blackish crystals and when mixed with water becomes a brilliant purple which soon oxidises to a dull brown.
I've been cleaning windows with another of D's solutions, which is tea tree oil in water. It's such a good cleaner (and leaves a lovely fresh smell)  that I have started using it for just about everything.

The purple reminded me of this amazing song. That guitar was sold last week for £103,000!
