Newburgh to Portsoy
Decided to get out of the Granite City today . The chief suggested a favourite walk at Newburgh so off we headed . The weather was drizzly but not too damp and we managed a 4 mile walk without getting soaked . I am not a twitcher but spotted some herons, eider ducks and lot of oystercatchers , And some seals . And some wild orchids ( see extra blip)
In the afternoon we drove up to Portsoy to have a look at the harbour and for some of the famous ice cream . Its a lovely spot and folk were queuing for the ice cream which is highly recommended .
Portsoy is popular for its annual boat festival in the last week of June. We've never been but must get along sometime .
