Race day: good day
Blessed with fine weather the cyclists in the 11th Radmarathon (cycle race) Engadin set off at 7am from Zernez. I joined those doing the short loop - a mere 97km, 2 mountain passes and 1325m height gain - compared to the more professional cyclists doing the figure of eight with 211km, 4 mountain passes and 3827m height gain.
5 hours later I made it back, safe and happy with completing my first ever cycle race. This evening looking up at some of the mountains I had cycled around I felt exhausted but content.
