I took my compact with me on the walk to my polling station today.  Such a selection of insects to photograph! For a Blip I was hard pressed to choose between this Thick-legged flower beetle (Oedemera nobilis) accompanied by a small black beetle,  the hoverfly on a poppy or the bee on the hardy geranium.  The beetle won, the other 2 are my additional photos for today.
