We stopped off for a bit of photography at North Queensferry, Fife, this morning. Allan and I had delivered our first-born sons into the hands of the adventure holiday people at Dalguise, in Perthshire, for a week of, well, holiday adventuring!

Al and I had both hoped for a photo op there but the staff whisked the boys away (undermanned at the pit face?) for a morning of climbing and problem solving. So, wending our way back south towards Edinburgh to allow Allan to get to work, we decided on a quick stop to photograph the Forth Bridge.

The North Queensferry views are, I think better than the south, and there are some really picturesque wrecks in the harbour.

It certainly does exhibit Genius loci
