Purple Bearded Iris......

Apparently named after the Greek goddess of the rainbow Iris.....I spotted it amongst the fallen leaves and  bushes in the garden,almost the only colour mid winter.... .
Busy day visiting neighbour back from the Galapagos islands, books to library, phone calls,baking...lots of little jobs crossed off the list !
