Ghosts

We had visitors over the weekend and on 1st July we took the ferry across the Mersey to Liverpool. On the ferry there were lots of teenagers dressed as WW1 soldiers going off to fight in the Battle of the Somme. They all looked very sad and thoughtful and none of them spoke. Some handed out cards with the name of the person they were representing with their age, which regiment they were in and when they died during the Battle of the Somme. It wasn't until we got home and read that there were several places in the country this was happening, that we realised that they were supposed to be the ghosts of the people they represented. 
Amazing and very moving.
