This little pig went to market ......
This line of the nursery rhyme first appeared in 1728 and it is not clear whether the little pig was being sent to be bought and butchered or whether it was going to market to buy some groceries perhaps to eat with the roast beef another pig was enjoying. It is interesting where nursery rhymes originated and how they have lasted.
These little piggies wont be going to market but unfortunately they will meet their Maker at some stage. I have never seen the brown and white ones before and don't know what breed. This is the second lot of pigs B has bought for rearing. They have a very comfortable life eating and sleeping.
