Just Checking

Off camping for the first time since 1974 when myself, 2 friends and a labrador went camping on the South Coast. Unfortunately it was the week of terrible gales when Sir Edward Heaths yacht, morning cloud, was sunk in the channel! We woke up with the tent flat on top of us and the bonkers labrador scared stiff and trying to jump around inside a collapsed tent. We gave up and went to Yeovil to spend a night there with the parents of one of my friends, John Hann, before heading back to Gloucester. One memorable moment of that holiday was getting kicked off an open air bingo stand in Weymouth because we kept shouting out that we'd missed the numbers. We were rather drunk at the time!

The tent in the photo is my intended residence for nights of the 15 & 16 July when I attend the Royal British Legion Riders Branch National Rally at Waterbeach (Vic, please note :-)  )
