Wall-to-wall rain

Many thanks for all your concern yesterday. As you probably gathered, there has been a death in the family - the ex-Laird Freuchie of MacFreuchie has passed away.

Although we have been separated for 16 years, we were married for 25 years and have two lovely daughters whom we both adore, so have continued to spend family occasions - birthdays, Christmas, etc - together for the sake of the girls, so his death has come as a shock to us all, even though his health had deteriorated over the past few years.

Onwards... into our Scottish summer and it's been the worst day yet, with no sunshine between the showers. Just solid rain. The new Adirondack chairs - tipped up like that to let the rain run off - have yet to be christened.
