Beetle

I am not good at beetles but I am pretty sure this is the Japanese beetle which is not native to this continent but is very invasive and will play havoc with roses and other ornamentals. I have only seen the one, so maybe they have only just hatched. This was on a daylily.

The day started off damp but has turned out nice this afternoon and is now about 80 with sun. I think we have had all the rain we are going to get for the time being.
