So I cannot lie, sleep was elusive. My new camping bed was lovely but I was too hot and too damp and it was too noisy (one of the rides started up blasting out music around 12.30). I woke at 5 and lay there until 6 and decided the day was beginning.
It was lovely as only a few of us were up/awake. It all got busy around 7 as tents had to be down by 8. We managed ours, had breakfast and went back out to help others. We camped on the bit of grass we are stood on for the photo.
By 9 camp was clear, photos/videos were taken and we were free to do our own thing. By dinner time I'd been on Oblivion, The Smiler, Rita, Thirteen and Nemesis.
A much quieter afternoon followed, the river Rapids, donuts and a nice quiet sit down with my book while the girls did their thing until 3.30.
Back onto the bus - first on as we had to have our bags on first - then back again. Steve the driver drove like a ninja and cut the journey time down to 10 hours despite stopping again at Cribbs Causeway, Trowbridge, Torpoint (ferry woohoo), St Austell and finally Truro at 2am!
