Daddy's Girl

We've just got back from watching Alfie play cricket. It's been a terrible season with so many games cancelled due to bad weather, we have a season's worth of matches to squeeze in to the next 3 weeks, It turned very cold while we were there. It feels like the nights are drawing in too. hey, ho, soon be Christmas.
It was a nail-biting finish with the opposition needing 7 runs to win off 5 balls. They hit a 4 then with the next ball, Stanley caught the batsman out.Their last batsman came out and I'm not exaggerating when I say he looked about 5 years old. This is it, we though, we've got this in the bag. Stan bowled and the little chap went and hit it for 4. 
He got a well deserved standing ovation.
