Hibiscus

Hibiscus syriacus is a species of flowering plant in the family Malvaceae, native to much of Asia. Common names include rose of Sharon, Syrian ketmia, Rose mallow and St Joseph's rod. A very beautiful flower that you can eat and is very popular with the birds and insects here in Oman for nectar and pollen. This red is particularly attractive but the white hibiscus also has stunning flowers.
