Beautiful River Walk
M and I joined the U3A Bird Watching Group yesterday for the monthly walk along the Glaven Valley from Glandford Ford to the 'Natural Surrounding' cafe and wildflower centre. We were lucky enough to catch the turquoise flash of a kingfisher at the start of the walk and a little further on a barn owl flew past with a prey item in its talons. Didn't manage to photograph either of these but instead took some photos of the swans on the Bayfield Estate lake and the extra is a female banded mademoiselle, of which there were many flying around in the warm sunshine.
