Bell Tower St Helen's and All Saints Wykeham

This tower was next door to my hotel and is clearly a feature used for the many weddings the hotel runs. It offers a delightful setting for a bridal pic or two. It is curious because it is separate from the church. Here is a bit of info.

Built by William Butterfield in 1853 All Saints Church is in the medieval style of the late 13th century. It is unusual in as much as the Tower, dedicated to St Helen, stands separated from the church. This was part of the older 14th century tower of an earlier medieval church. The spire was added by Butterfield and the tower is effectively a majestic gateway to the present Victorian church.

I have had a good day today for the first time lasted through the day and still feel lively. Hoping to enjoy my food tonight and hope this is a genuine and long lasting improvement.
