Opium Poppies

As I travelled to work last week I spotted a field of pale lilac flowers which I assumed to be opium poppies, knowing that they are cultivated for medicinal purposes in the area. Unfortunately, limited opportunity and rainstorms meant they had gone over before I had a chance to stop. To my delight, a second flush of flowers appeared this week and I stopped on the way home this evening.
