My ride . . .

No! This is NOT a new boat that Steve has acquired!  On the 4th of July Holiday, Steve went over to Lucas Boatworks early and I stayed home working on my website. The plan was he would come back in his 16 ft skiff to fetch me, when people started arriving for paddling boarding, boating, eating, socializing, you name it! We touched base around noon and he said he'd be over in a half an hour. Imagine my surprise when I came outside and saw this beautiful 27 foot "Packard" boat, a modern take on a classic mahogany speedboat here to pick me up! (It's a 5 minute drive across the river to Dave Lucas')

It is a gorgeous boat in an old fashioned style belonging to a friend of Dave's who was here for the party. I so enjoyed my ride over! It felt like I was being transported in a limousine. I am going to add some extra photos, enjoy!!
