Blackcurrant ripple cake for dessert tonight, it caused far too much discussion over who had more balls, more cream, more blackcurrant ripple. Then after it was eaten, it was too sweet, some days there's no winning in my house. Spent most of the day trying to get out to the shops, doctors, and get my daughter's bedroom tidied for her friend to come for a sleepover tomorrow. She's spent most of the day glued to the Olympics on TV, shouting every time she sees Team GB because she thinks all the heats and qualifiers are medal races. Can't fault her enthusiasm. The husband has just remembered to tell me he's off out tonight as well, hope he's taken a key to get in. Time to open a bottle of something I think.
