Cannop Ponds

Am still managing to find the sunshine! Today's starting point was Cannop Ponds before going off the beaten track.

Three beautiful things:

The Doe and her fawn that suddenly appeared on the track ahead of us. The dogs were brilliant, they stayed with me and we just watched them as they watched us. Magical and definitely a highlight.

Millie deciding she had walked far enough and promptly sat down and refused to go any further. Why a beautiful moment? She just looked so cute and small with the long track and forest in the background.

Both dogs enjoying the water ( away from all the ducks etc) even Millie decided to have a swim!

One thing to be grateful for:
Both dogs came back after stumbling across a popular place for squirrels - there must have been at least 6 of them - all scampering off in different directions!
