Black Squirrel

My daughter's garden in NY has a number of wild animals, including many grey squirrels and a few black ones. The black is "a melanistic variety of the eastern gray and of the fox squirrel" (Wikipedia's words rather than mine) and is rather pretty, I think. Apparently they have also taken hold in  parts of Cambridgeshire. Next stop and mission for today is to find a chipmunk, though not hopeful - mostly they seem to stay in the shade (or perhaps I've just been unlucky so far?).
