Killearn.

Monument to George Buchanan who was born in Killearn. I must admit I had no idea who he was until I checked him out he seems to have quite a colourful life to say the least, educated in Paris at the age of 14.
According to one source " the most profound intellectual of the sixteenth century Scotland had produced ". Considering his family were very poor this was quite an achievement .
