Abstract Thursday and a bit of a break from the surreal influence of recent weeks.  This is a shot of a single day lily.  I have used a mirror filter to turn it into a wheel and have then used an additional filter to add the crayon sketching effect.  Layers have been created and elements removed, with the layers then being merged together to produce the end result.  It sounds much more complicated than it actually is.

For some reason I had in mind an old Minton design ~ it has not ended up being anything like that, but I think you can see the organic origins despite the abstraction.  You do get a better idea of what is going on if you look at it in large.
