An eight o'clock shadow

In all honesty I've given up trying to see a pattern in the weather...

Today brought sun, showers, sun-showers (note the difference), and then some lashing rain. Well - more accurately, it was lashing in South Glasgow at the same time as it was bright sun in Paisley.

By middle evening, after we'd been for a quick and restorative swim, the sun was splitting the sky, and creating strong shadows, like that in the image.

The toggle is on the end of my retractable washing line, by the way - I've always thought that it was a very lovely thing for something so functional.
