Castles of Dumfries and Galloway

I had to spend some time in town this morning, waiting for my car to be fixed. 

On my way back to the garage, I spotted these sandcastles beside the Whitesands. I think this "beach" is made from sand deposited by the winter floods which regularly make life a misery for local businesses.
